# CrewAI API Calls context window/Data amount

Hi,

How do I understand the quantity of data or context (agent information, backstory, task description etc.) I can send to the OpenAI api for it to be effective. Are there specific restrictions when calling via CrewAI?

If I take the same information and 'dump’it to Chat window the response is fast, when I use the API, I seem to have to restrict the amount of data to send.

Is there any guide to quantity of data etc?
