# Custom Short and Long Memory

We were trying to implement custom short and long-term memory with custom utilization of `mem0`.

We have created a `CustomStorage` class deriving from `Mem0Storage`.

Is it even allowed to have custom `ShortTermMemory` and `LongTermMemory` classes? How to do so?

This example only shows that it is possible to have [custom storage paths](https://docs.crewai.com/concepts/memory#custom-storage-paths).
