Hierarchical process in CrewAI in 2025

I’m trying to setup a Hierachical team for 1st time in crewAI.
Looking to current doc I see this

Problem is that in reality key factors shall be in :

  1. Élément

Manger are excluded from agents

  • Élément Agents looks to be declated as this agents=[researcher, writer], but in fact shall be declatred with their function call as self.researcher() , self.writer() . same for “manager_agent” .
    But when i do that , the issue is that nothing work as expected . manager start a loop discussion until it crash.

I try to search on github but didn’t find a proper example 2025.

any advice, docs or video how to tune this hierachical ?
